STUDENT’S POINT OF VIEW

(from Dunsford District Elementary School Newsletter)

Monday - Hat Day

Everybody in our school, D.D.E.S., wore funny hats to support school spirit week: tall hats, fat hats, and a lot more kinds of hats. The one that I thought was really funny was Katie McDonald’s hat. Winners in the Primary Division were Ryan Daly, Jamie Beamish, Chris Mitchell and Bryan Hart

Tuesday - PJ Day

On Tuesday February 9, 1999 it was pyjama day at school. Most of the students wore their pyjamas. One of the boys wore his mother’s nightie to school. I thought that he would get first place in the pyjama contest, but he got second place. I think that pyjama day was a "big hit". Winners in the Primary Division were Richelle Cunday, Dakota Brasier, Kristen Wood and Krista Yourkevich. Junior Division - Deanna Allison, Candice Hart and Jenna Stephens. Intermediate Division - Krystal Burke

Wednesday - Wacky Wednesday

February 10th, 1999 was Wacky Wednesday at Dunsford. Kids came to school dressed as wacky as can be. Teachers and students both participated with it. For Wacky Wednesday students and teachers wore their clothes inside out and backwards, shoes on the wrong feet, etc. It was a lot of fun for the whole school to participate in. The winners of Wacky Wednesday are: in the Primary Division were Daniel Thurston, Cody Germyn and Desta Coaker. Junior Division Curtis Angiers, Elisha Moggach and Caitlin Thistlethwaite. Intermediate division Katie McDonald, Adam Bacon and Krystal Burke.

For example, the first place Junior winner was Josh Taylor - he dressed up as Mr. Moyer, one of our teachers. Teachers participated as well as students. Career Day was a success. Winners in the Junior Division were Shaun Stephens, Alana Bruce and Michelle Francis; Junior Division winners were Josh Taylor, Elisha Moggach and Tyrone McDonald. Intermediate Division winners were Jenna Kennedy, Constance Howie and Stephanie Ridout.

Junior Division winners were Jenna Stephens, Johnathon Perry, Deanna Allison, Kristen Walsh, Candace MacDougall, Dylan Howe, and Olivia Duxbury.
